(November 10, 2015) — The results are in and the week eleven winner of the LoCoSports Football Pick’Ems sponsored by Cheers Sports is Sheriff Woody from Round Hill! Sheriff Woody went 6-1 in week eleven, beat all of the local experts and will take home a gift certificate for a free meal at ResQ Grille! Woodgrove Baseball from Round Hill is still in the lead in the season-long Pick’Ems competition with a record of 82-18. While Broad Run did hold the lead for all but 61 seconds of the game, the Huskies did score a last minute touchdown that sealed the win with a 43-42 score and completed their second straight undefeated regular season. Earlysville (November 6, 2015) — Tuscarora High School senior Fitsum Seyoum (16:06) won the VHSL 5A North Region Championships on November 5 in Earlysville. Tuscarora teammates sophomore Emma Wolcott (18:30) and freshman Ava Hassebrock (19:34) helped the Huskies girls to a first place team finish, while Stone Bridge High School seniors Joe Valle (16:20), Andrew Matson (16:29) and Jackson Morton (16:31) led the Bulldog boys to the region crown.
