Leesburg, Va. — Loudoun County High School senior quarterback Nick Barts has his team off to a historic start. For the first time in more than two decades, the Raiders’ football team has started its season 5-0, and the play of Barts is a big reason why. “That’s just crazy. After falling to Millbrook, 3-2, in the VHSL Region 4C championship in 2017, the Lady Raiders got the last laugh, defeating the Pioneers, 3-0, in a VHSL 4A State semifinal before eventually winning their VHSL-record tenth state championship.
