Virginia Beach, Va. — The APEX Gymnastics Level 3 team earned six individual state titles while turning in an eighth place team finish at the Virginia State Championships on May 3-5 in Virginia Beach. Jadyn Thomas turned in APEX’s only all-around state title while also winning the beam and the floor at Level 3 – Senior 2. Sterling, Va. — Potomac Falls High School senior midfielder Colin McMunn has committed to continue his athletic and academic careers at Christopher Newport University starting in the 2019-2020 school year. “I’ve been in love with [soccer] ever since I was a little kid. Loudoun County, Va. – In an effort to better recognize student-athletes who positively affect high school sports in Loudoun County, Power Train and LoCoSports have teamed up to announce Woodgrove High School senior Delaney Boyer as the Power Train and LoCoSports Athlete of the Month for April 2019. In April, Boyer led a Wolverines defense that posted three shutouts and allowed one or fewer goals in five of their six games. Virginia Beach, Va. — APEX gymnasts Lauren Greene and Lillian Lin each finished sixth in the all-around in their respective divisions at the Region 7 meet in Virginia Beach on April 11-14.
