Ashburn (Feb. 4, 2015) – Like they have done all season the Freedom High School varsity gymnastics team proved they were the team to beat in Loudoun County as the Eagles won the Conference 14 gymnastics meet at Stone Bridge High School on Feb. 3.

By Morgan Widdifield LoCoSports Journalist Purcellville (Jan. 19, 2015) – Rival high schools Loudoun Valley and Woodgrove took to the hardwood for round one of the Battle of P‘Ville on Jan. 15. They would Play for a Cure selling t-shirts and raffle tickets to raise awareness and money to help the fight against breast cancer. Woodgrove girls head coach Kevin Copley said his players fronted the event and added that several other student organizations including the Woodgrove boys team helped along the way.
As seen in the LoCoMagazine! (January 17, 2015) – LoCoSports has named its 2014-2015 All-LoCo football team. The 2014-2015 football Player of the Year is Noah Reimers from Tuscarora High School. The Coach of the Year is Michael Burnett of Tuscarora High School.

[twitter-follow screen_name=’BigO_Gotimer’] By Owen Gotimer LoCoSports Editor (January 17, 2015) – In Loudoun County, the fall sports season actually started on July 7, 2014 when Tuscarora High School head football coach Michael Burnett received a phone call that changed his life forever. Burnett’s best friend and assistant coach Adam Fortune had passed away at the age of 37. During the 2014 season, the Huskies football team dedicated their season and their field to their late coach under the motto “Fortune Strong” and made him proud with a 14-1 overall record.
