So was the story of the VHSL 4A girls soccer state championship game as the Loudoun County High School Lady Raiders kept up the pressure on a staunch Heritage High School Pride defense. The Raiders fell behind 1-0 early, but dominated possession and peppered Pride stand out keeper Zoe Foxhall with shots on goal before catching a break scoring three goals and winning the state championship, 3-1, in Lynchburg on June 13.

If they weren’t, the coaches may not let them leave campus. Last year, the tandem led the Vikings to their first state championship in baseball since 1972. On June 12 of this year, they put them in position to do it again, earning a 6-0 win over Rustburg High School in a VHSL 3A state semifinal in Lynchburg.
(June 12, 2015) – The VHSL 4A North region has selected its all-region team for girls soccer. Loudoun County High School senior Emily Littell was named Player of the Year. Loudoun County High School head coach Kirk Smith was named Coach of the Year.
(June 11, 2015) – The VHSL 5A North region has selected its all-region team for girls soccer. Broad Run High School senior Caroline Kerns was named Player of the Year. Stone Bridge High School head coach Sherrie Colby was named Coach of the Year.
