The Rams beat the Lightning 4-2 to claim the Potomac District tournament crown and the No. 1 seed for the VHSL Region 5D tournament.
The Rams continued their straight-set win streak with a 3-0 sweep of the Lightning.
Despite a back-and-forth first half that had the game nearly tied going into the locker room, the Dukes’ defense got to work in the second half, shutting out the Monarchs for the 63-27 victory. JMU senior safety Jacob Thomas (Stone Bridge/2022) had 7 tackles and 1 sack in the Dukes’ win.
The Panthers swept the Bulldogs 3-0 to remain in the chase for the Potomac District regular season title.
