Although the Patriots rallied in the sixth inning to tie the game at 5 apiece, the Mountaineers plated two runners in the top of the seventh and then made three consecutive outs in the bottom to secure the 7-5 victory. George Mason senior pitcher Harlowe Nigh (John Champe/2022) took the loss on the mound, while Mount St. Mary’s freshman infielder Sharon Manni (Loudoun County/2025), sophomore outfielder Maya Alvarez (Heritage/2024), and senior catcher Tristin Koerner (Tuscarora/2022) contributed for the win.
