Loudoun County, Va. – In an effort to better recognize student-athletes who positively affect high school sports in Loudoun County, Gymnaze and LoCoSports have teamed up to announce Tuscarora High School junior Camryn Worley as the Gymnaze and LoCoSports Teammate of the Month for February 2022.
Coming off the bench isn’t easy for all high school athletes, but Worley embraces her role and works her tail off to put her team in positions to be successful.
“You never have to ask Cam twice to do something, and when she does anything it’s as hard as she can,” Tuscarora head coach Tayler Dodson said. “She is an incredibly hard worker who doesn’t often miss any pre- or postseason work out and shows just how important it is to be in the gym and giving your best all the time. She’s a great example for current and future players.”
A hard worker on the court, Worley stands out among her peers as someone who takes helping her community seriously and recently helped raised more than $12,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
“Off the court, Camryn has been a positive influence by spearheading community campaigns and getting athletics involved,” Dodson said. “While participating in the Student of the Year Campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, her team raised more than $12,000 which is such an impressive amount.”
Her work on and off the court are a testament to just how truly Worley embodies Tuscarora’s three Es.
“We practice and live by our three Es: energy, effort, and enthusiasm,” Dodson said. “Cam brings that whether it’s on the court diving for loose balls, making shots, or on the bench celebrating her teammates success.”
