Loudoun County, Va. – In an effort to better recognize student-athletes who positively affect high school sports in Loudoun County, Gymnaze and LoCoSports have teamed up to announce Stone Bridge High School junior Trisha Camille Guevara as the Gymnaze and LoCoSports Teammate of the Month for November 2021.
As a leader on and off the court, Camille Guevara helped the Bulldogs put together a state championship run in November, winning their last 15 sets en route to the VHSL Class 5 State title by way of a 3-0 sweep of Frank W. Cox High School on November 19 in Richmond.
“Trisha gives 100% every play, both in practice and in matches. Her effort and determination are contagious,” Stone Bridge head coach Jill Raschiatore said. “Her goal is always to do what would best help the team or her teammates. She knows where and when to place the ball to put her teammates in the best position to get a kill.”
While Camille Guevara’s cool and collected poise—and excellent setting—set Stone Bridge up for success on the court, it was her off the court leadership that helped the Bulldogs really gel as a team.
“Her teammates have told me that she is an ‘MVP on and off the court,'” Raschiatore said. “Trisha organized buddy bags for several matches, encouraged her teammates to do fun things to show team spirit, and really went out of her way to make everyone feel like they were seen.”
