Loudoun County, Va. – In an effort to better recognize student-athletes who positively affect high school sports in Loudoun County, Power Train and LoCoSports have teamed up to announce Loudoun County High School senior Rebecca Frey as the Power Train and LoCoSports Teammate of the Month for November 2017.
As a defensive specialist for the storied Lady Raiders’ volleyball program, Frey helped Loudoun County to the school’s tenth state championship in the past eleven seasons this fall.
In 2017, Frey led the Lady Raiders in serve receiving with 93% passing accuracy on 640 attempts and in digs with 363.
“Rebecca is the ‘steady eddie’ of our team; always calm even in the biggest of games,” Loudoun County head coach Sherrilyn Hanna said. “As a three-year starter, Rebecca has played in three state championships and is able to use her experience in high pressure situations to help keep her teammates calm.”

“Rebecca encourages her teammates and treats her teammates with kindness,” Hanna said. “She has high expectations of herself as well as of her teammates, leading by example with hard work and focus.”
The Power Train and LoCoSports Teammate of the Month is selected from nominations based on student-athletes having a great team-first mentality, hustle, work ethic, attitude and heart.
