Alexandria (Feb. 10, 2015) – The Freedom High School varsity gymnastics team remained at the top of their game as they repeated as VHSL 5A North region champions at Mt. Vernon High School on Feb. 9 earning themselves another trip to the VHSL 5A state championships.
Freedom – and the Patrick Henry High School Patriots who placed second – earned bids to the VHSL 5A state team tournament at Patriot High School on Feb. 20.

Freedom Eagle Sydney Wrighte will have a target on her back come the VHSL open individual championships on Feb. 21 as the freshman once again earned top price in the all-around at the VHSL 5A North region meet following her first place finish at the Conference 14 meet on Feb. 3.
Wrighte’s teammate junior Anna Broussard also earned a spot in the all-around at the state meet with her third place finish at the region meet.
Tuscarora High School sophomore Claire Pettit with join Wrighte and Broussard as representatives of Loudoun County at the all-around at the VHSL open individual championships.
In the vault, Loudoun County senior Victoria Miner, Woodgrove sophomore Sarah Snare, Mountain View sophomore Emily Brutski, Brooke Point junior Kaya Razor and Mount Vernon junior Talayna Reed all earned VHSL state berths.
In the uneven bars, Potomac Falls freshman Morgan Marrocco, Patrick Henry junior Keion Greenhow, Patrick Henry freshman Sierra Baxter and Mountain View sophomore Emily Brutski all earned VHSL state berths.
In the beam, Potomac Falls freshman Morgan Marrocco, Mountain View junior Lauren Graves, Patrick Henry freshman Sierra Baxter, Patrick Henry juniors Emily Johnson and Keion Greenhow and Mountain View sophomore Emily Brutski all earned VHSL state berths.
In the floor, Freedom sopohomore Cara Fragala, Loudoun County senior Victoria Miner, Woodgrove sophomore Sarah Snare, Brooke Point junior Kaya Razor and Patrick Henry freshman Sierra Baxter all earned VHSL state berths.
