Loudoun County, Va. — Cheers and LoCoSports have named their 2018 All-LoCo golf team. Tuscarora High School junior Michael Brennan has been named Golfer of the Year. South Riding, Va. — Freedom High School sophomore Riley Waldrop and freshmen Liliana Gines and Kelly Fangyen led the Eagles to a win in a five-team meet over Broad Run, Heritage, John Champe and Rock Ridge to open their season on December 5 in South Riding. Waldrop turned in the top all-around score with a 37.550 while winning the vault (9.550) and floor exercise (9.550). Loudoun County, Va. – In an effort to better recognize student-athletes who positively affect high school sports in Loudoun County, Power Train and LoCoSports have teamed up to announce Freedom High School sophomore Haley Adams as the Power Train and LoCoSports Teammate of the Month for November 2018. Portland, Or. — When the Loudoun Valley High School boys cross country team scored 89 points at the Nike Cross Nationals in 2017, the running world took notice. Only four boys teams had ever scored less than 100 points at the event, and no boys team had ever broken 90.
