Philadelphia, Pa. — Four local gymnasts won the all-around in their sessions at the annual PINK Invitational in Philadelphia on February 21-23. APEX gymnasts Gabby Beale, Reagan Burris, and Lexi Scott won the all-around at Level 4, leading APEX to the team title, while Kaitlyn Rath won the all-around at Level 6. The annual PINK Invitational raises money for breast cancer awareness and hosts more than 4,000 gymnasts from all over the United States. Fairfax, Va. — Briar Woods High School senior Abby Harter and junior Mackenzie McConagha and Rock Ridge High School senior Trace Wall won VHSL 5A State titles at George Mason University on February 20-21 in Fairfax. On the girls side, Harter won the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard breaststroke, while McConagha won the 100-yard backstroke and placed second in the 100-yard butterfly, leading the Falcons to a team runner up finish.
